Chennai: Fans of superstar Rajinikanth are eagerly waiting for his sci-fi thriller 2.0, the sequel to 2010 released ‘Enthiran’. Recently, a video was released which gave a glimpse of how and why the movie was shot in 3D technology. Now the makers of the flick are gearing up for the audio launch of the film.
As per sources, the audio launch will take place in Dubai at an extravagant event on October 27 at a cost of over Rs 15 crore. The entire cast and crew are likely to attend the event.
Helmed by filmmaker Shankar, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has composed the music.
According to reports, the makers of the flick have used the latest technology cameras to shot 2.0 in 3D format. Made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore, 2.0 is one of the costliest Asian films.
If sources are to be believed, the audio launch will be followed by a trailer launch in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Super Star Rajinikanth will be seen reprising both the roles he played in ‘Enthiran’, Vasikaran and Robo Chitti, in 2.0. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a negative role. Amy Jackson will be seen playing the leading lady in the movie.
The movie will hit the screens on January 25, 2018.
